David Williams is a proud American, lifelong Republican, and dedicated leader ready to fight for our country in the U.S. Senate.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, and raised in San Diego, California, David grew up in a middle-class household anchored in faith, discipline, and love of country. His mother served as a public school teacher, and his father, a retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer, instilled in him a deep respect for duty and service.

At 14, David moved with his family to Decatur, Georgia, where he attended an under-resourced high school. There, he saw firsthand how strong values and determination could overcome difficult circumstances. His faith, forged in those formative years, continues to guide his life and leadership today.

David enlisted in the U.S. Navy before earning a competitive ROTC scholarship to attend Morehouse College. Upon graduating he became an infantry officer in the U.S. Marines.  He deployed to Iraq twice as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he led a platoon of Marines and during his second deployment engaged in combat operations. Following his military service, David began a diplomatic career advancing American interests across Latin America in the U.S. Department of State.  He then joined the CIA as a Case Officer, where he coordinated security and intelligence related matters and served as a Chief of Station. David continues his service to date as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

His experience, on the front lines of war and diplomacy, has shaped his unwavering belief in conservative principles: limited government, strong borders, secure communities, and the unmatched power of the American Dream.

Now living in Reston, Virginia, with his wife and three children, David is stepping forward once again not to serve abroad, but to serve at home.
